I’ve found tons of online math games. I listed the best of the online math games that I found below. Please check them out and be sure to let me know what you think.

Most of the online math games below can be played by kids who know basic math skills. They also provide a good review for adults to brush up on these math skills via brain exercises to stay mentally sharp.

  14. While I agree that scientifically developed games have the advantage of research and trials on their side, I think the question is a little more complicated than that. One of the most important aspects of neuroplasticity (what we are trying to employ when talking about training our brains) is that the participant is attentive and motivated during the learning process. In other words, games that are not as engaging are not as effective in producing changes in the brain. So in some cases, a game that has not been subjected to science and clinical trials might be more effective than a similar one that has been born of science but is not as fun.

    A good solution perhaps is the middle ground: free brain games developed by a game-lover and neuroscience junkie.

But while your child plays, the game learns where your child is at and then intelligently leads them to mastery of addition, subtraction, multiplication or addition.

  23. Nice list with a site or two that I had been unaware of . As a math educator myself, I’ve come to really believe in the potential for math based games to make learning as painless as possible. Though there will never, I think, be a replacement for teacher-based classroom instruction, games can really take the learning process to a much higher level of engagement.

    I actually do have a couple of questions for you if it’s okay.
