I came across this great article today on how to beef up our brain without shrinking our wallets. The article gave sound and tested advice that I felt was worth sharing with you. Many of the ideas presented (like playing online brain games) have been shown to cut the risk of dementia, and some by as much as 75 percent! You can find the entire article and read more about this by clicking here..

  1. I visited the link you provided and there’s a 404 error page there now, looks like they took down that article or changed the URL on you, just as a heads up.

But wow, 75% is quite a bit when it comes to cutting the risk of dementia, that’s very good information to know, and yet another benefit of brain games. I write a lot about brain training and brain games on my blog so I like keeping up with all the wonderful benefits of playing “games” to improve my mental health.

What better excuse to play games is there than that? lol

**OT** Great blog you’ve got here by the way, I’ve subscribed to your feed and plan on keeping up with future updates.

  3. But how many older people can you actually get interested into online games? I find that older people are very resistant to new technology – after all its another thing they have to learn.

Although, I can definitely see the positive effects these types of games can have on you.

  4. Well older folks, especially the baby boomers, are getting interested in brain fitness. And they are playing brain games to help keep them sharp. The brain fitness industry is growing by leaps and bounds, with projections to keep on growing. That aside, there is so much you can do for brain fitness with out ever touching a brain game. Neurobics, for instance.. Check out the many articles here on the blog for great brain fitness ideas that do not involve a brain game.

  5. It would be good thing to test online games since such games has benefits as well. Aside from health and personal reasons, amazing but true, it can help you make it through your financial crisis like what I’ve read in this article from a student.
