Math fun games can indeed be fun, for both kids and adults, when they’re incorporated into fun and challenging online games. You just have to know where to look for the good ones.
The math fun games I find the most fun are the ones that challenge you against time and keep track of your score and progress. Start off with the easier levels like addition and subtraction, and try to get faster and faster at it. Then increase the challenge my moving on to multiplication and division.

I agree that math games can be both fun and educational (ie what i call effective in this post here-

I think the main key to a good math games might sound a little tautological–the fun and excitement of the game, whether it is a platform game or a race against the clock game, should be centered around the mathematics itself. Some games out there just seem like regular adventure video games and the mathematics seem to be just an aside…it’s the ones where you’re really doing math to advance through the game that are high quality.

I addmit that there are useful games for kids, for teachers work and for parents. But educational spelling games for kids represents 0.01 % of the video games on the WWW. So, it’s really difficult to redirect our kids towards such games instead of well known violent games.
thanks a lot i was searching for such a program for along time
I’m teaching a 2nd grade math class and I’m wondering if anyone has any easy and fun math games that the children might enjoy which would also help their math skills? I’m looking for anything I can do in the classroom with them – not computer or internet games.A detailed explanation or links to resources would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
