Cogolog - Online Memory Games Site Review
Cogolog is an online memory games website. The site is free to join and contains 14 different memory games and promises to add more over time. The site keeps track of your progress via graphical line charts. I’ve spent time playing the games myself and can attest that they are both fun and addictive - as are most good brain games.
The following was taken from their home page and gives you some additional information about the site.
Cogolog.com is a unique place to learn about the power of your brain. The tests presented here focus on memory performance. More tests are on the way… Bowles-Langley Technology, Inc. “BLT” provides a range of cognitive testing services for industry and the medical profession. The company’s alertness testing system for workers in hazardous occupations is an industry standard. BLT research is funded by the National Institutes of Health. I have been using Posit Science to improve me memory. It has worked well, but I wanted to try other resources for sharping my brain. I’m 69 years old and want to regain the brain function in my youth.
Hi Michael,
First, thanks for visiting my blog and posting your comment/question!
You’re right on track in regards to wanting to try other resources. The key to keeping our brains fit and growing new brain cells is to continually be challenging our brains. You might try Lumosity out. It is one of my favorites. The cost is much less than Posit Science yet has also been developed by Neuroscientists. The link to Lumosity can be found under Scientific Online Brain Games over on the top left side of my blog site.
You can also visit the many free online brain games found on my blog site. One of them is called dual n-back. It is a memory game that has been demonstrated to improve I.Q. It increases automatically in difficulty as you progress and uses both auditory and visual senses. It’s a good one!
Thanks again for visiting!
Regards,
Gary
Michael, I also want to point out that for total brain fitness, you also need to be working on the other ways we can boost our brain. Check out my latest post titled “The Top 5 Ways To Beef Up Your Brain”.
