I just found this site and am glad I did. I'll be spending a lot of time looking around, as I'm always interested in improving my brain health and fitness. I've always believed that exercising the brain with games, puzzles, etc., keeps it healthy. But it makes sense that physical exercise would be good for the brain also. After all, if its good for the rest of the body, why not the brain also?

This is spot on, I run a lot and when I take periods out for whatever reasons, my body totally changes. running and exercise just make you feel so much better. I started a couple of years ago when a three mile run nearly killed me and I thought I was reasonably fit. I can now run 7/8 miles without any problems and not feel stiff the next day! Keep up the good work!

This just makes sense. Our body's systems are all interconnected; one can't function without the other. And physical fitness can make a physical change in the brain just as the reverse is true. If you really want to enhance your mental performance, work on getting your body fit first!
